In 2002:
Average cost per animal in 2002 was $78.39.
We spent $2,766.00 at OCAS* to take animals out that were on 'death row',
$9,408,32 on food and litter,
$2,308.88 on supplies for animals, and office supplies,
$26,459.55 on Veterinary and medicine.
*Orange County Animal Services. We periodically go and check the 'death row' inmates and will adopt them from OCAS if we believe they will be adoptable.
