It's RAINing Cats and Dogs

Rescuing Animals In Need, R.A.I.N. is a non-profit organization located in Central Florida (in and around the Orlando area).  We are a group of dedicated volunteers and foster parents who work to save the lives of homeless and displaced cats and dogs. We do not receive salaries or compensation in any way.  Our reward is the love we get from the animals that we rescue and the wonderful feeling that comes from saving animals' lives.  They need us!!  AND YOU!

NEWS FLASH!

PLEASE HELP SUNDANCE

This is Sundance, a lab mix puppy who came into foster care on May 30, 2008 at 4 weeks of age with her 11 brothers and sisters.  Right away her foster family knew something was wrong because her head was so much larger than her body.  As her brothers and sisters continued to grow, Sundance seemed to decline.  It soon became apparent that she is mostly blind and when she began to have seizures, her foster mom took her to our favorite vet, Dr. Larkins at Altamonte Veterinary Hospital.  Dr. Larkins diagnosed her with Hydrocephalus – water on the brain – and suggested we seek the advice of an animal neurologist.  We contacted Affiliated Veterinary Specialists to inquire if potential treatments existed.  They said yes however a consult examination was required to be sure.

Check HERE for recent updates on Sundance

Expensed to date exceed $800 which includes:
June 16th consult exam
June 30th follow up exam and further tests
Antibiotics

Your donations will help us help Sundance.  Any excess funds will be used directly 100% for the care of the many other animals in our organization.

Please click on the Donate button below to donate via Paypal. Thank you so much for caring!

HELP!
We are in need of people who can or are willing to learn how to bottle feed kittens. We have had to turn away abandoned kittens due to a lack of volunteers who can bottle feed. We also need foster homes for cats, kittens, puppies and dogs.
If interested please see us at an adoption event

Our Pet Adoption Events are every weekend at:

PETsMART, 4510 South Us 17-92 in Casselberry 407.331.8991
Saturday and Sunday 10:30 - 5 pm

It is located in the Orlando, FL area.
Come visit us and our available animals!

Some of our animals are viewable on the web. The link will open in a new window.

Click HERE to see those listed on Petfinder.com like the one below.

Kitten season is HERE
We have lots of kittens that will soon be ready for new homes and more coming soon.

"you can't change the world by saving one animal , but you can change the world for that animal" - unknown. Please help an animal today and make their world become an everlasting joy

All rescued animals are housed in foster homes where temperament and habits are observed and any necessary medical care is given.  Getting to know each animal helps us to make better owner/pet matches. Our adoption fees in most cases are $95 for cats and start at $150 for dogs. Purebred cats and dogs cost more.

Animals Rescued by RAIN

Save Lives - spay or neuter your pet
Every day
10,000 human babies are born
70,000 kittens and puppies are born
If every infant went home with a kitten or puppy there would still be 60,000 left to find homes.
Most of them never will.

The Florida Animal Friend License Plate is HERE.
